Realmex2pro Review
Realme X2 Pro Review which was launched with great ambition by the leading smartphone brand Realme..
Mahesh Babu speaks a dialogue in the movie Pokiri which was released 13 years ago. When did we come? Did the bullet land? Or not?’ That dialog is a real fit for your company. Because in just one year, Xiaomi, which is the market leader in our country, has lost its position. Everyone is saying that Xiaomi may lose its share in the market next year due to the blow of Real Me. It is remarkable that Realme has shown a 400 percent growth in its sales in just one year.
The only principle..
Realme has only one formula to show progress. ‘More features.. lower price’. This plan suits you real well. It is through this that Real Me has made so much progress. But in the flagship range, the chances of this move being fruitful are less. Because flagship range spenders prefer features as well as quality. Competing with giants like One Plus in this segment is like a sword. But Real Me has also done that adventure for the first time. It is in this segment that Realme has launched the X2 Pro. How is this phone? Read this review to find out if it’s worth the price!
Design..
Honestly speaking.. Realme X2 Pro for the first time looks like a normal Realme smartphone. The water drop notch, which is common on Realme phones, probably looks that way because of the vertical four-camera setup on the back. When you hold the phone, you will feel that premium feeling. The entire phone is covered with Gorilla Glass and surrounded by an aluminum frame. You can hold the phone and say that you are going to see an experience that no Realme smartphone has ever offered.
It has two color variants. One is Lunar White and the other is Neptune Blue. This phone looks beautiful with different shades when lit. Coming to the side of the phone, there are volume control buttons and power button on the left side. You will see the dual SIM tray on the right. At the bottom is the USB Type-C port, the main speaker, and the 3.5mm headphone jack.
As it is the first flagship smartphone from their company, Realme should have been more careful about the design of this phone. Realme has made a key change in its logo. The phone features its logo at the top of the back instead of the bottom.
Display..
It has a 6.5 inch Super AMOLED display. 90 Hz screen refresh rate is also available which makes using this smartphone a more beautiful experience for you. This 90 Hz feature is used to make the smartphone display more beautiful. App switching, navigation, gaming, watching videos… all become more beautiful with this feature.
Being one of the four smartphones launched in 2019 with this feature makes the Realme X2 Pro even more unique. Apart from Real Me, only OnePlus has made this feature available. But its main feature is to switch from 90Hz to 60Hz display when you want it for battery saving.
Its display is very bright. Colors are also very vivid. No matter what angle you look at this phone, the display is very clear. Graphics are also very good while playing games. Bane is visible even when using the phone in sunlight. That is its specialty. Thin bezels and small notch make it more beautiful to look at. It also has the facility to adjust the color temperature and font size in the display settings.
Camera..
In terms of camera too, Realme has hit good marks with its first flagship phone. Realme has provided a 64 mega pixel quad camera setup with 20x hybrid zoom in this smartphone. That means there are four cameras on the back. As the main camera, a Samsung Isocell Bright GW1 sensor with a capacity of 64 mega pixels has been used. The same sensor is also used in the Realme XT smartphone. It also has a 13-megapixel telephoto lens. It supports 2x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom. There is an 8 mega pixel wide angle camera. This gives a field of view of 115 degrees. It also has a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Starting from the main camera, the 64 mega pixel camera uses pixel binning technology. So the photos taken with this will come with 16 mega pixel quality. For 64 mega pixel resolution you need to turn on 64 mega pixel mode separately. The photos taken with this sensor are very beautiful. You will also see dynamic range and the most natural-looking colors. The photos taken in the night mode are sharp but not so natural.
Photos taken with a telephoto lens also show colors accurately. The photos are not as sharp as you think. When it comes to the wide angle camera, the photos taken with this lens cannot compete with the photos taken with the above two lenses in terms of colors. The photos also came out a bit dull. Realme has also provided a nightscape feature for this. Otherwise, it is better not to use them as the photos taken will not be good. The macro mode also uses a wide-angle sensor. The photos taken with this turned out well.
Looking at the front, a 16 mega pixel camera has been provided. That works fine too. Thanks to the nightscape mode, the photos taken in low light are also very beautiful. Overall, the camera features provided by Realme get good marks but the results are not as expected. If you want to get the full range of features offered by a flagship smartphone, the Realme X2 Pro is a bit behind in this regard.
Performance…
A great camera alone does not bring the flagship feeling. The hardware specifications of the phone should also match it. This is the reason why the X2 is the first flagship of Realme to compete with the best Android smartphones. Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor is used in it. This is the best processor currently used in Android phones. The initial variant of this phone has 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage are available in the high-end variant. As they offer such huge storage, Real Me storage is not offered in these.
As it uses such amazing hardware, no matter how heavy you use it, you won’t have problems like frame lag. Daily usage is great with this phone. But the phone gets a bit hot in some cases when gaming is used a lot. It can be said that the gaming experience is amazing. It also has Hyper Boost 2.0 feature which gives you options like Do Not Disturb while playing games.
When it comes to software, this smartphone will run on Color OS 6.1 based on Android 9 Pie. The minus point here is that while the flagship phones OnePlus 7T and One Plus 7T Pro smartphones launched before this were running on Android 10, it was running on Android 9. Realme has hired beta testers for Android 10-based Color OS 7. This update will come to this phone in March 2020. Compared to flagship phones, it is a bit late.
Battery..
It has a 4,000 mAh battery. But that is not the real highlight of this phone. Fast charging feature provided in it. This smartphone supports 50W VOOC Flash Charge. This is the fastest charging smartphone among all smartphones in India. The company announced that the phone will be charged to 100 percent in just 35 minutes at the time of launch. Testing it out revealed that Realme isn’t exaggerating. The biggest plus point of this smartphone is that it can be fully charged within the specified time.
Can I buy it?
This is the first flagship smartphone launched by Realme in India. If you want a complete smartphone then you can buy this phone. Because.. it has 90 Hz refresh rate, up to 12 GB RAM, 64 mega pixel quad camera setup, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus features.
Moreover, this is the most affordable of all the smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. Its starting variant is Rs.29,999, while the later variant is priced at Rs.33,999. And when it comes to OnePlus 7T, its starting price of Rs. 34,999 comes with Real Me.
However, despite being an almost perfect smartphone, this phone has some minus points in software and camera. One Plus 7T is leading in these matters. But Real Me will immediately identify and correct such mistakes, so let’s hope that it will come up with a smart phone for this very soon.
