With the film ’96’, director C. has pleased the cine lovers by showing a tender love story in a touching way. Premkumar. After a gap of six years, he came to the audience with another fun and emotional film ‘ (Satyam Sundaram 2024). Karthi and Aravind Swamy are playing the lead roles in this movie. Surya and Jyothika are producing it themselves. Besides this, the teaser and trailers are entertaining and the audience has good expectations about it. And what is the story of this film? Satyam is haunted by the memories of his town and home. Satyam Uddandarayu had to go to Palem under the circumstances for the marriage of his father’s daughter. At that wedding, a man (Karthi) greets him affectionately as brother-in-law. Actually, who is he? Even if he doesn’t remember his name, he pretends to be familiar. I felt like reading a novel while listening to this story. Many places shed tears of joy.. This is what Karthi has repeatedly said about this film. The actresses of this movie are right on the screen
Pulumukuni.. It was like a beautiful life journey filled with lots of memories and emotions. It is clear from the promotional pictures that this is a film set in a rural setting. There is too much in terms of story. (satyam sundaram review) If a person who left his hometown after being cheated by his relatives goes back to that village for a good deed after years, what are his experiences there? What trouble did he go through to find out the name of a woman who loves him so much? That is the plot of this film in brief.
This is a film that is thousands of kilometers away from regular commercial trends. The way the movie starts… the way it progresses… the end moves like a calm river. In that flow, the director took the audience to the past for three hours without any hesitation. The movie starts interestingly showing the reason behind Satyam leaving the village. (satyam sundaram review rating) In this sequence, the director has tried to give an appropriate emotional touch to the story by introducing his connection with the village and his home there. Ka’s character introduction, allari.. Satyam’s troubles when he remembers someone.. the twists and turns to find out his name.. everything seems fun. When Satyam gives an earring to his sister on the stage of the wedding… she tears it off on the stage… and removes the jewels from it himself with Anna, the scene weighs heavily on the mind. The interludes in this sequence are simple yet full of fun.
In the second half the story shifts to Karthi’s house. After going to that house, Satya’s experiences touch the hearts and make people smile. Especially the Satyam cycle episode.. the way it changed Karthi’s family.. everyone is hooked. It takes the audience to the bygone days. Also the story of the bull in Karthi’s house.. his connection with it.. is impressive. And Satyam’s mental conflict when he remembers Karthi’s character’s name. At the end, the way Karthi reveals the character’s name.. The phone conversation between him and Sathya is laughable.
Whoever did it, unless the heroes have a lot of passion for stories, such a script will not come to the screen. In this regard, the courage of Aravind Swamy, including Karthi, who believed in the strength of the story and came forward to do this, should be appreciated. In this film, along with them, the rest of the cast completely lived in their respective roles. He gave a natural performance that made the audience feel as if they were watching a real life story on screen. While Karthi’s character is smiling and emotional, Aravinda Swamy is seen in a settled mood and is hooked with emotional performance in key scenes.
Director Premkumar has shown his ability to bring this beautiful novel-like story to the screen in the same field. Also, the film team has succeeded in showing it as a straight Telugu film rather than a dubbed film. Even if the movie feels like it is moving slowly, it doesn’t look like a big negative because the audience is hooked with the story all the time. The build values are high.
